At the base of the south col / cwm route there are two refuges open to the public. They are literally next door to each other, the lower one called the 'Les Mouflons de Toubkal', the other called the 'Refuge du Toubkal'. The former newer mountain hut was built by a local man Haj Mohamed Imzilen, the older refuge former called the 'Neltner' was built and run by the Club Alpin Francais.
Each of the huts can provide meals and has a
